Hall Aleksandar Nikolic is the second largest sports arena in Belgrade after “Belgrade Arena“. It was opened in 1973 under the name “Hala Pionir“. The arena is located within the sports complex of Pionir, which is part of the SRC TASMAJDAN. It was renamed to Hala “Aleksandar Nikolic“ in 2016 in honor of the legendary basketball player and coach, Professor Aleksandar Nikolic.
Hall Aleksandar Nikolic has been the venue for decades for all national basketball, volleyball, and handball teams, as well as many European and world championships. In addition to sports events, it often hosts other cultural and entertainment manifestations.

The press center meets all the requirements for covering major sports events. It is equipped with state-of-the-art communication facilities. The hall is suitable for various “minor“ sports, cultural and entertainment events, congresses, and other gatherings.
ICE RINK
Within this sports center, there is also an ice rink that is used for both recreational purposes and sporting events.
SPORT EVENTS
Currently, both Red Star and Partizan sports clubs use the facility for their games and training sessions. Additionally, matches of all representative selections in volleyball, handball, and basketball are often held here. Besides sports events, the venue frequently hosts various other cultural and entertainment manifestations.
