TAS INDOOR POOL

The indoor swimming pool was opened on December 13, 1968, as part of the Sports Center “Tasmajdan“ in Belgrade. The indoor pool at Tasmajdan is a favorite place for Belgraders for recreational swimming, most popular for training processes of clubs, and most effective for teaching non-swimmers and learning competitive swimming.


TAS INDOOR POOL

In addition to the indoor pool, during the winter period, there is also an outdoor pool that is covered with a dome and maintains an optimal water temperature of 27 degrees Celsius. The pool has Olympic dimensions and is suitable for hosting domestic and international competitions, with a seating capacity of 2,000 spectators.

The Sports Center “Tasmajdan“ has hosted the first World Championships in swimming, artistic swimming, and diving, as well as European Championships in water polo and other important sports events. The indoor pool, with Olympic dimensions, allows for recreational swimming and also offers swimming lessons or underwater hockey classes.

SWIMMING SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN

Especially significant for the youngest, it influences their proper growth and psycho-physical development. Enhanced and state-of-the-art swimming method globally, in collaboration with the ‘Tash’ Swimming Club, on the closed pool platform – intended for preschool and school-age children.
The child needs to be at least 120 cm tall because the depth of the pool where non-swimmer training takes place is 110 cm. At the end of the month, a public class is organized where parents attend and can observe the progress of the little ones.
Non-swimmer training is conducted on platforms (a fenced and modified area within the large pool). During the training, children overcome their fear of water, and through the program, they learn basic swimming techniques and how to breathe correctly. Testing is done before each first swimming training session. Upon completing the program, children are capable of independently being in deep water and engaging in some water sports for exercise.


SPORT SWIMMING SCHOOL





Once they have mastered the basic swimming techniques, the Sports Center “Tasmajdan“ recommends enrolling in the School of Competitive Swimming. The program of the competitive swimming school is designed for swimmers of all ages, regardless of their age or gender. The focus of the program is on stroke correction and improvement.


Through the school, participants are guided on the importance of healthy physical development and the cultivation of sports habits.







SWIMMING LESSONS FOR ADULTS


The Sports Center “Tasmajdan“ has also thought about those who are a bit older and, for any reason, have not yet learned how to swim. For everyone aged 15 and above, there is adult swimming instruction available.

Swimming instruction takes place on platforms (a fenced and modified area within the large pool). The pool floor level is raised to 110cm.

Swimming instruction is conducted by experienced coaches with years of experience. Upon completion of the program, participants are capable of independently being in deep water.

IMPROVE YOUR STYLE

For those who already know how to swim but want to improve their technique and efficiency, we’ve created a program focused on refining the four basic strokes: freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly.

This program is ideal if you:

Swim recreationally but aren’t sure you’re using the correct technique
• Get tired quickly and want to learn how to swim more efficiently
• Want to improve rhythm, coordination, and breathing
• Are ready to correct small mistakes with the help of a coach – which make a big difference

FIT SWIMMING

Intended for those who want a dynamic, conditioning workout in the water. The focus is on intensity, endurance, and calorie burn.

What to expect:

• Interval training with sprints, tempo variations, and rhythm shifts
• Swimming drills for strength, stamina, and improved conditioning
• Ideal choice if you want to lose weight, tone your body, or boost your fitness level
• Coaches lead the structure of the session and give guidance, but do not correct technique – this program is intended for advanced swimmers who already have solid fundamentals
