Sports corporate games in Greece
About the participation of the Serbian Federation of Corporate Sports – SC Tasmajdan team at the 4th Corporate Sports Games of Northern Greece.
The Serbian Federation of Corporate Sports responded to the invitation of the Hellenic (Greek) organization for corporate sports and health to participate in the 4th Corporate Sports Games of Northern Greece, which took place from May 11th to 14th, 2023, at the Olympic Sports Center Panorama in the municipality of Pylaia-Hortiatis and the TenPin bowling hall in Thessaloniki.
Our team had the honor and privilege of being the first team outside Greece to participate in these games.
The Serbian Federation of Corporate Sports was represented by the team from Sports Center Tasmajdan from Belgrade, led by team captain Nino Dosen Majkic, Director of the Legal and Sports Department. The delegation consisted of Mirjana Djeric, member of the Executive Committee of the European Federation of Corporate Sports, and Velizar Djeric, President of the Serbian Federation of Corporate Sports and leader of the delegation.
The team of the Serbian Federation of Corporate Sports – SC TASMAJDAN participated in 5 sports disciplines and achieved the following results.
1. Bowling – Team event: Second place, silver medal.
2. Bowling – Individuals: Second place – silver medal, Slobodan Jacmenica.
3. Basketball 3×3 – Team event: Third place, bronze medal.
4. Table tennis – Singles: Third place, bronze medal, Zoran Djonlic.
5. Darts – Singles: Third place, bronze medal, Goran Trajkovic.
6. Tennis – Singles: Fifth place, Ljubisa Stanićc
A total of 5 medals were won: two silver and three bronze medals.
The closing ceremony of the 4th Corporate Sports Games of Northern Greece was held at the sports hall of the Olympic Sports Center Panorama.
Velizar Djeric, President of the Serbian Federation of Corporate Sports, was presented with a special recognition – the plaque of the Hellenic (Greek) organization for corporate sports, by Anastasia Tasoula Kelesidou, an Olympic champion in the discus throw discipline (winner of two silver medals – Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004). This recognition was given in acknowledgment of Mr. Djeric’s contribution to the development of Corporate Sports in the region, Europe, and the world.
Our team experienced exceptional hospitality from the hosts and organizers of the games, with Aggeliki Lagou leading the way. President Velizar Djeric presented her with a fitting gift as a token of appreciation.
Unexpected weather conditions for this time of year did not hinder the competition.
The atmosphere was sportsmanlike and characterized by fair play. The traditional friendship between the people of Serbia and Greece once again proved unbreakable. It was a sporting and chivalrous competition, but also a competition in expressing mutual respect, appreciation, and camaraderie on and off the field.
In addition to participating in sports disciplines, the team of the Serbian Federation of Corporate Sports – Sports Center Tasmajdan demonstrated a strong team spirit and engaged in sportsmanship and camaraderie with their opponents both on and off the field. They left an impression of being a well-organized and formidable team.
